ALMOAYYED ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION SYSTEMS WINS KEY GIIC - II PELLET PLANT PROJECT
ALMOAYYED Electrical & Instrumentation Systems (AEIS), a division of ALMOAYYED International group providing Electrical, Mechanical & Instrumentation products, solutions and support services to the kingdom of Bahrain signed a strategic deal with JURONG Engineering Limited Singapore for completion of a 6 million metric tons per year steel Pellet Plant Project for Gulf Industrial Investment Corporation (GIIC's second pellet plant )
This Steel Plant Project is a visionary project of GIIC which includes design, construction and start-up of the facility in Hidd, Bahrain. The pellet plant will have a production capacity of 6 million metric tons per year. In addition to the processing plant, the order includes construction of a jetty extension and ore yards and installation of material handling equipment. Plans call for production to commence in Dec 2009.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. K.A. Prabhu, Assistant Manager- Sales, AEIS said, “Steel Pellet Plant project at GIIC is a major win for us, which will involve complete Electrical & Instrumentation Erection Works. The project to us is worth 2.2 million USD. Our subcontract agreement with Jurong Engineering is indeed an association on a long terms. Jurong is a trusted name for such project. The main contactor to this project is KOBELCO KOBE Steel- Japan.” GIIC's second pellet plant will be the biggest one that Kobe Steel has ever built.
